Harwinton Consolidated School

In this production-focused class teens will explore the theme of the macro: where tiny things appear huge. Participants will work with 3 coaches to develop ground circus skills in Acrobatics/Partner Acro, Mini trampoline, Stilt walking and dance. The production team will create bespoke, elaborate costumes, giant stilt walking creatures to bring to life this magical world created during this 8 week class.
This program is designed to connect teens from different towns and diverse backgrounds in the the co-creation of an original circus production. In an inclusive space safe for identity exploration and creative expression, students will find community and support for building on personal passions, unique skills, characters and a cohesive ensemble
While any skill level is welcome, students who have other ground circus skills (such as unicycling, contortion or hula hoop) are encouraged to bring these skills to our production. Families and friends will be invited to attend an outdoor evening performance on June 3.
Cost is $360 and need based scholarships are available. Questions? email maticaarts@gmail.com 860 309-0306
